In the early 2000s, there was a moment when Major League Baseball considered moving the Montreal Expos to Virginia, exploring locations in Northern Virginia and Norfolk. While the move didn’t happen, it’s a fascinating ‘what if’ in our state’s history.

The Expos almost moved to Virginia, but in 2005, they relocated to Washington, D.C., and became the Nationals. Fun fact: the original name considered for the Montreal Expos was the Montreal Nationals, but they chose Expos instead. When they moved to D.C., the name Nationals was finally chosen by the voters.

This hat is a tribute to that moment. I’ve flipped the iconic "M" of the Montreal Expos into "V", reflecting the potential of our state becoming their new home. Available in both Snapback and Fitted sizing, this hat ensures a perfect fit for every fan.
